What is the main goal for this project?

Project Overview

Planetary CARE is rapidly building out our global launch program, broadening our reach from a core crew out to our global network and beyond. To do this, we’ll be activating a new website, social media tools, newsletters, and more. We're looking for a talented, creative student to help us with the creation of new graphic design assets to support this launch!

Our ideal match has experience with (or is excited to learn!) style guides, templates, social media planning and execution, as well as various iterations of marketing materials.

Project Scope

Planetary CARE needs a team of talented creatives with a strong understanding of business needs.

The team / project will cover but not be limited to:

  1. Creative: Logo design - [can use multiple if available]
    1. Leverage existing Brand concept to design a new logo for Planetary CARE
  2. Creative: Social Media Manager and Content Creator (graphics)
    1. PLANNING: Collaborate with Planetary CARE Social Media Manager to:
      1. Craft SM strategy
      2. Extend strategy to content calendar and plan
      3. Create templates for various social platforms
    2. DEVELOPMENT: Create and curate graphics assets for launch
    3. EXECUTION: Activate and measure social media plan
  3. Creative: Photographer - [can use multiple if available]
    1. Shoot, edit, and curate original photography for use by Planetary CARE in digital and print applications

Successful candidate(s)

Team must have a strong understanding of design fundamentals and a wide range of experience in multi-channel media design and production that will elevate our visual representation across digital / email, website, and social channels.

We require independent self-starters who help us go from zero to running, as we have very little content today. It’s a great opportunity to build something new and have a huge impact with a team working to drive change at the intersection of food and climate.

This project provides a unique opportunity to drive the visual identity and presence of an early-stage, global startup. The student will interface primarily with the Marketing Director, and can expect to collaborate with many other members of our global Marketing Circle.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 1-2 years experience producing design & creating assets for marketing departments, and/or agencies.
  • A well-rounded skillset and ability to think creatively and solve for the necessary design application.
  • Passion for visual design and can understand both print and web applications. Ability to provide content for various campaign applications: digital (email, social, paid, display), web , etc.
  • Expertise in typography, layout, concept ideation. Adaptive design eye and skillset.
  • Deep understanding of social media graphic formats and video editing needs and current trends.
  • Comfortable using collaboration tools including Canva, Slack, Google Workspace, Zoom, Mural
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail for constant accuracy, self-motivated with strong decision-making capabilities.

REQUIREMENT

  • Designer must have high proficiency in and independent access to Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design.
