The main goal for the project is to use generative AI, such as ChatGPT, to take an Event URL as an input parameter, structure the event information, label the data, and generate a listing for the event that can be used and shared within an event discovery platform.

This exploratory prototyping project will involve several different steps for the learners, including:

1. Understanding the structure and content of event URLs.
2. Learning how to use generative AI, such as ChatGPT, to process and label event data.
3. Developing a system to generate a structured event listing from the processed data.
4. Testing the generated event listing for accuracy and usability within an event discovery platform.
5. Developing a method to re-check the URL for information updates.

By the end of the project, learners should complete the following tasks:

1. Process and label event data from input Event URLs.
2. Develop a system to generate a structured event listing using generative AI.
3. Test the accuracy and usability of the generated event listing within an event discovery platform.

Final deliverables should include:

1. A functional prototype for generating event listings from Event URLs.
2. Documentation of the process and techniques used to achieve the project goal.

Mentorship and Staff Support

• Dedicated Mentorship: Each student or student team will be assigned a mentor from our product development team. Mentors will provide at least 5 hours of dedicated mentorship per team, guiding students through the design and prototype development process.

Access to Tools & Technology

• students will have access to an OpenAI account with API access to complete the project (alternative models can be requested)

Communication and Feedback

• Regular Check-ins: Scheduled weekly check-ins with mentors will be held to discuss project progress, address any issues, and ensure that the project remains on track.
• Feedback Loops: Continuous feedback loops during the design and prototyping phases to ensure that the products meet the expected quality and design standards.
• Final Review: A formal review session upon project completion where students will present their designs and prototypes to the senior management team for feedback and potential implementation.
