Details

The research assistant/team lead (RA) will support the project "Bridging the Gap Between Education and Entrepneurship", under the guidance of Impact Learning management. The RA will support research activities for a qualitative research project in adherence with ethics protocols and guidelines as set out by the Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans.

The incumbent will handle regular research duties required for the completion of the project and may act as a liaison between the research team and study participants. The incumbent has the opportunity to assist/co-author the dissemination of research results arising from these projects to perform qualitative data collection, entry and processing. The RA may also assist with the preparation of any required documents and organize meetings for the research team.

Deliverables

The project may include, but is not limited to:

  • Supporting the research ethics application
  • Overseeing data collection, processing, and data storage.
  • Planning and performing the outlines and looking after data retrieval (eg, data scraping) and analysis (eg, big data analysis) using existing tools and methods.
  • Responsible for tasks related to data retrieval
  • Working with senior-level team members in the design and execution of empirical tests.
  • Conducting literature reviews and contributing to the development of research projects.
  • Writing reports and assisting with writing grant applications in terms of conceptualization and articulation.
Mentorship

Students will work closely with the primary project manager who is supervising and available for questions. This project team will engage in regular weekly meetings to ensure progress on the project. The RA may have the opportunity to take on a leadership position within the team as the project matures.
