Our organization is able to offer a virtual internship opportunity for students who are working with Django and Python

The primary focus for the student will be:

  • Website Development for InnScience IPOP (Innovation, Project, Online, Platform) - Work with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript and back-end with Python, and Django to create site functionality on a prototype site. Implement functionality in a way that fits our purpose.

We have developed most of the code, and have a general direction but wish to work with a student to help us debut InnScience IPOP. We are looking for students that can assist us with HTML, Python, Javascript, and Flask to launch the platform.

Number of required hours per week:

  • 80 hours

  • Upgrading to the latest version of Django - 6 hours
  • Debugging Django backend and frontend of views - Technologies & Organizations - 6 hours
  • Implement CRUD functions for Technologies & Organizations - 6 hours
  • Debugging Django backend and frontend of views - projects, research, and patents - 6 hours
  • Implement CRUD functions for projects, research, and patents - 6 hours
  • Debugging Django backend and frontend of views & workflow of requesting and accepting affiliations - 5 hours
  • Debugging Django backend and frontend of the views - user, projects, research, patents, affiliations - 5 hours
  • Debugging Django backend and frontend of the views - user, projects, research, patents, affiliations - 5 hours
  • Curating code in the back-end, and front-end - 5 hours
  • Writing and running tests with UnitTest - 10 hours
  • Deployment in AWS - 10 hours
