The main goal of the project is to develop a program for Skillcity's Neurodiversity Champions Movement, which includes creating an online resource network hub and local engagement initiatives. The aim is to celebrate and harness the power of neurodivergent minds through education, awareness creation, culture shift, stakeholder engagement, mentoring and support, and creating neuro-inclusive spaces and practices in schools and companies.


Deliverables

Tasks for learners to complete to achieve the project goal include:


- Researching and compiling educational resources for neurodiversity awareness and support.


- Developing an online resource network hub for neurodiversity education and support.


- Planning and executing local engagement initiatives to promote neurodiversity awareness and inclusion.


- Creating a culture shift within schools and companies to embrace neurodiversity and implement neuro-inclusive practices.


- Engaging with stakeholders to garner support for the Neurodiversity Champions Movement.


- Establishing mentoring and support programs for neurodivergent individuals in educational and professional settings.



Final deliverables should include:


- A comprehensive online resource network hub for neurodiversity education and support.


- Documentation of local engagement initiatives and their impact on neurodiversity awareness and inclusion.


- Strategies and recommendations for implementing neuro-inclusive practices in schools and companies.


- Stakeholder engagement plans and outcomes.


- Mentoring and support programs tailored for neurodivergent individuals.


Mentorship

Skillcity Institute is excited to welcome Work Integrated Learning (WIL) students to collaborate on the Neurodiversity Champions Movement project. Committed to ensuring the students' success, Skillcity will provide dedicated staff time for supervision, fostering regular communication and collaboration. Supervision includes check-ins and feedback to guide project progress and maintain alignment with Skillcity's goals. Students will have access to organizational data,assets.

Moreover, we offer access to relevant software and tools, as well as orientation on relevant sectoral information, which will enhance the student's research and skill development. We hope that this support will enrich the student's learning experience and contribute to the creation of a high-quality final project. Skillcity is confident in the success of this collaboration and looks forward to achieving impactful results together with the WIL students.
