Details

We are a new social good FinTech startup that is gearing up for fundraising and our first-ever crowdfunding campaign. We are looking to work with a student on a Video Production & Marketing Project. Through this project, the student will script, produce and edit videos that showcase our company’s culture, values and stories of some of our earliest users.

Tasks may involve:

  • Brainstorming various ideas for the video structure and content, and creating a storyboard for what the video will look like.
  • Creating a script showcasing stories of our early users.
  • Putting together a proposal.
  • Filming and editing the final videos.

If the student successfully completes video production tasks (with additional hours left to fulfill), the student may contribute to the following deliverables:

  • Developing written content for the crowdfunding campaign
  • Researching and developing a community/event outreach list.
Deliverables

The student will have completed the following activities, by the end of the project:

  • Constructed a storyboard showcasing the various shots, scenes or segments of the video.
  • Written a compelling script highlighting the company’s culture and values.
  • Submitted a proposal for the videos including the storyboard, script and a short write up of the ideas and thought process behind it.
  • Met with the Manager to discuss the proposal and made any changes necessary.
  • Filmed the video and completed post-production editing.

Final deliverables are as follows:

  • A completed 2-3 minute video for the company’s crowdfunding campaign.
  • At least 2 shorter (45 second) videos for the company’s social media channels.

If the student successfully completes video production tasks, with additional hours left to fulfill, the student may contribute to the following deliverables:

  • Developing written content for the crowdfunding campaign
  • Researching and developing a community/event outreach list.
  • Graphic design of images via Canva.
Mentorship

Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:

  • What are Golak Inc.'s values and how do we promote them?
  • What is the organizational culture like at Golak Inc. ?
  • Are there any specific points, or segments that should be mentioned/included in the video?
  • Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.
