canva (software) infographics project management marketing design tool devops stock photography adobe photoshop software development zoom (video conferencing tool)Squash.io is a DevOps platform that allows software developers to quickly deploy their web apps for testing purposes. We currently have many companies in our platform, including names like NASA, Wagtail and New York Public Radio.
We are looking to build between 100-150 infographics to support our marketing initiatives on Twitter. We will provide the actual content for the infographics and basic info on how the info should be placed. Each infographic needs to be unique, engaging and very easy to read.
The content/copy for each infographic will be available in Google Docs, we will provide one Google Document per infographic with as much detail as possible.
The students responsible for this project are open to pick whatever tools they need to create these graphics, our preference is using canva.com though and we can provide access to a premium account with all features, stock photos, etc.
Attached is an example of an Infographic template from Canva. The goal with this project is to first define a standard Infographic branding guide for Squash and then use it to develop the set of 100-150 infographics based on the content we will provide.
This will involve several different steps for the students, including:
- Zoom calls with one of our team members to go over the project specs so we can assist with any questions.
- Becoming familiar with Canva or perhaps a different design tool of the student's choice.
- Understanding of our specs when it comes to the content for each Infographic.
By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities (this is basically a retelling of the steps above):
- Created a new infographic branding guide to dictate company usage of font, color, and imagery.
- Met with the project manager to discuss the branding guide, and completed any changes required.
- Presented a proposal of brand asset design to the project manager to be approved for final designs.
- Created the final designs for each brand assets using Canva.
Final deliverables should include
- A new branding book for our company with information about how our brand should be communicated in terms of fonts, colors, logo usage, and images.
- A minimum of 100 infographics based on the content specs, branding book and design proposal.
- Each infographic needs to be delivered with its source (either in Canva or with the source file of a different tool such as Photoshop if Canva is not used) and in its sharable form: PNG or JPEG.
Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:
- Are there any themes or colors that should be introduced?
- What images, quotes, or taglines should be included in each design asset?
- Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.
