- What is the main goal for this project?

This Level Up Project is for Indigenous video editors who wish to learn and develop their video editing skills across cultures. This is an 80-hour project and a pre-requisite for additional video editing projects.
This is the first of a gradual multiple-step learning experience in Indigenous video development and editing.
This project is designed for people who identify as Indigenous
Project Details: Students will engage with 6 Indigenous Education videos, complete corresponding reflection pages for each, and attend respective team meetings.
Students will shadow and work alongside a Production specialist to become familiar with general video editing and development techniques. The goal of this project is to equip students with the skills to move forward to work confidently with IISB in the curation of Knowledge Nuggets.
Students who complete this first level of video editing training will then be eligible to go on to the next level of video editing projects.
- What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

Attend and participate in all virtual meetings, at set times with the IISB team
Learn and use Communication Tools including Zoom, Email, Text, Google Docs, Microsoft Office, and Cloud Storage Resources
Learn and use video editing software including Adobe Premiere, FL Studios, Avid, Blackmagic, Soundstripe, and Transcription services.
Participate in Indigenous Awareness Education
Participate in Production Team Training
Work on Video Editing Project alongside Production Specialist
Meet deadlines and complete tasks with care
Complete a work plan and goal-setting document
Complete all onboarding and assessment documents
Must sign an NDA*
