Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

This project will begin in February 1st following a kick-off meeting and orientation for all student-hires. The end-date for the project and deliverable submission deadline is February 28th at 11:59 PM MST.

The aim of this initiative is to augment the recognition and public comprehension of the scholarly and literary works of Golden Meteorite Press. As a Public and Consumer Relations Intern, your role will be crucial in executing innovative marketing and PR methodologies designed to proficiently articulate the Press's objectives, academic pursuits, and literary triumphs to a wide-ranging audience. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with diverse teams to craft compelling content and promotional assets, maximizing the utilization of various media outlets to extend our influence, and employing analytical feedback to polish our promotional approaches. By enhancing the public's awareness of Golden Meteorite Press’s contributions, your inventive efforts and commitment will contribute to creating a more knowledgeable and interconnected community. This will further propel Golden Meteorite Press's dedication to the proliferation of literary insight and fostering a profound comprehension of varied themes through the medium of literature. Your involvement will not only underscore our commitment to enriching literary understanding but it will reinforce our pursuit to connect and enlighten communities through the power of written words.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

Tasks May Include:

  • Develop, curate, and oversee various forms of engaging digital content to elevate the visibility of Golden Meteorite Press’s contributions, including content related to any events organized or co-organized by the Press.
  • Collaborate closely with researchers, subject matter experts, and event organizers to accurately and effectively communicate intricate research findings, literary innovations, and event details.
  • Continuously monitor digital content trends and incorporate best practices to enhance the online visibility and engagement of Golden Meteorite Press, particularly focusing on events' promotion and coverage.
  • Explore avenues for enhancing brand visibility across various platforms, not limited to digital promotion, while also closely monitoring the effectiveness of these strategies in elevating the brand's profile and engaging with a wider audience.
  • Organize and plan the Press’s involvement in events, including timeline management, participant coordination, content creation for event promotion, and post-event coverage.

Deliverable:

  • To achieve the project goal, students must attend the kick-off meeting for clear guidelines and expectations, which will also include an introduction to Golden Meteorite Press's event involvement. If involved in event planning or logistics, students are required to engage deeply with the assigned tasks, whether it's coordinating aspects of an event, contributing to promotional efforts, or managing post-event activities. Following their participation, students are expected to compose a reflection detailing their experiences, insights gained, challenges faced, and the strategies employed to overcome these challenges during the event planning and execution phases. This reflective piece should provide a comprehensive understanding of the event's impact on the goals of Golden Meteorite Press, formatted in PDF. The reflection must be uploaded to the Riipen platform.
