The Comprehensive Recruitment Support and Talent Acquisition project spans 80 hours and is dedicated to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our recruitment processes. As a Recruitment Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our HR and talent acquisition teams in various aspects of the hiring process. This project aims to streamline recruitment, improve candidate experiences, and strengthen our talent pool.

Project Components:

1. Talent Sourcing (20 hours):

  • Collaborate with HR and hiring managers to understand staffing needs.
  • Utilize various platforms and strategies to source potential candidates.
  • Assist in crafting compelling job descriptions and optimizing job postings.
  • Conduct initial candidate screenings and assessments.

2. Administrative Efficiency (15 hours):

  • Manage candidate databases, ensuring data accuracy and organization.
  • Assist in maintaining an up-to-date applicant tracking system.
  • Handle documentation related to the recruitment process, such as offer letters and contracts.
  • Help in streamlining administrative HR tasks for smoother operations.

3. Candidate Engagement (15 hours):

  • Communicate with candidates, schedule interviews, and provide feedback.
  • Ensure candidates have a positive experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Collect and document candidate feedback and suggestions.
  • Assist in creating and sending follow-up communications.

4. Interview Coordination (15 hours):

  • Coordinate interview schedules and logistics for candidates and interviewers.
  • Prepare interview materials and ensure a smooth interview process.
  • Collaborate with hiring teams to collect interview feedback.
  • Handle the scheduling of assessments or tests as required.

5. Onboarding Support (15 hours):

  • Facilitate the onboarding process for newly hired employees.
  • Assist in the completion of pre-employment paperwork.
  • Coordinate orientation sessions and provide necessary information to new hires.
  • Ensure a seamless transition from the recruitment phase to onboarding.

6. Reporting and Analytics (5 hours):

  • Generate recruitment-related reports and analyze recruitment metrics.
  • Provide insights on recruitment effectiveness and areas for improvement.
  • Assist in tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) related to recruitment.

7. Mentorship and Learning (5 hours):

  • Participate in mentorship sessions with experienced recruitment professionals.
  • Gain insights into industry best practices and strategies.
  • Use mentorship time for professional development in recruitment.

Project Outcome:

By the end of this 80-hour project, you will have contributed significantly to improving our recruitment processes, ensuring that we attract and retain top talent efficiently and effectively. Your role as a Recruitment Assistant will be instrumental in enhancing candidate experiences, streamlining administrative tasks, and strengthening our talent pool.

Mentorship

Students will be paired with an experienced recruiter and complete the project by going through the hiring process and completing some recruitment independently. They will receive support from the HR team and Saige's owner.


Fundamentals for a Recruitment Assistant regarding interviewing techniques, unbiased evaluation, and effective notetaking will be taught throughout the internship. Organizational techniques and record-keeping will be integral to completing the project.
