Hello, I'm the CEO and Founder of Alpha Woman, a multi-platform media company. We launched about 2 years ago with a digital publication, a podcast and digital and in-real life events.
We are looking for an intern or co-op student to help us both maintain our digital publication built on Wordpress, make some modifications to the site, as well as launch an e-commerce store and affiliate program.
We have an opportunity for an intern or co-op student for the following:
- Maintain and update Wordpress instance of https://www.alphawomanco.com
- Per approved strategy, re-design navigation
- Add and produce special content sections per content strategy
- Add an ad serving system to the site with approved ad footprint
- Traffic ads per client instructions
- Design and deploy weekly newsletter
- Add e-commerce/affiliate site to https://www.alphawomanco.com
- Ensure site is optimized for search
In this opportunity students will have the chance to help create new digital products and revenue streams, and grow an independent media company through real-world experience.

- What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

- How will you support learners in completing the project?

We will offer as much supervision as needed as well as support from the rest of the team. Weekly team meetings, and daily scrums will be provided to ensure intern is on track with the project.
For mentorship, I have worked in digital media and marketing since the beginning of digital media, and am also an entrepreneur, so for anyone interested in mentorship in these domains, I am extremely happy to be a mentor.
