target market pest analysis trustworthiness researchHow can universities recruit more international students from developing markets?
Students will create a market report for one or more of the following markets: Thailand, Brazil, or Colombia.
Students will receive guidance on trustworthy resources to use in the research process, but they are also expected to search for data and information independently beyond those resources.
The goals of each market report are to:
- Give a clear picture of the current economic situation and forecast for middle- and upper-class growth, particularly in certain jobs or industries.
- Compile data on population and education enrolment statistics (from primary school, including private schools, up to postgraduate level) across the country (with statistics by key regions and cities).
- Compile data on international student enrolments (from the target market) in a designated list of study abroad countries at various levels of education (language, undergrad, postgrad, and secondary school where possible).
- Create a detailed list of the top challenges and trends that the country is facing in the short term (within 1-5 years) or within the next 10 years (not global challenges but things specific to this country, similar to a PESTLE analysis).
Students will receive examples of 3 previous reports and guidance on trustworthy resources to use in the research process, but they are also expected to search for data and information independently beyond those resources.
