CyberBridge Marketing, a company specializing in marketing services for cybersecurity firms, seeks to enhance its credibility by ensuring its own security practices are robust. This project will focus on identifying and mitigating key security risks across CyberBridge Marketing’s website, data handling practices, and communication channels.

Deliverables

The assessment will focus on three key areas:


Website Security

  • Perform a vulnerability scan to identify common weaknesses (e.g., outdated plugins, misconfigurations).
  • Assess SSL/TLS encryption, website access controls, and content security policies.
  • Provide recommendations to strengthen website security.


Data Protection & Secure Communications

  • Review how client and internal data is stored, shared, and protected.
  • Assess the security of email communications and collaboration tools.
  • Identify risks related to phishing or unauthorized access.


Access Control & Authentication

  • Evaluate the use of strong authentication mechanisms (e.g., multi-factor authentication).
  • Assess user access controls for internal tools and external platforms.
  • Provide a prioritized list of security enhancements.


Project Deliverables

Learners will produce a concise security assessment report, including:

  1. Executive Summary – Key findings and top security risks.
  2. Vulnerability & Risk Assessment – Identified issues and their impact.
  3. Prioritized Recommendations – Actionable steps to improve security within CyberBridge Marketing.
  4. Quick-Start Security Guide – Best practices for ongoing security improvements.
