Work on a new platform designed to provide solutions for filmmaking and Production. Our company has an existing software product, and part of any good product is continual testing. Most manual testing environments consist of two phases, a testing planning phase and a test execution phase.

Analyze our product and come up with an applicable test plan for the project or a section of it and then execute those tests as needed with a team of QA analyst. 2-hour requirement per day. 5 days per week. 8-week term. This will involve:

· Conducting background research on our product.

· Creation of a detailed testing plan including user profiles, user stories, desired outcomes, testing side effects such as responsiveness, internationalization, accessibility, browser compatibility, etc.

· Execution of the testing plan through either manual or automated means.

· Attempt to automate some of the tests using software such as point and click simulations or writing your own code to simulate user activity.

Tasks needed to be complete to achieve the project goal

· Familiarize yourself with our product and its requirements

· Understand different testing strategies, what to look for in a testing environment, what to test for etc.

· Design and create an overall testing plan including user journeys, outcomes, test scenarios, etc.

· Execute the test plan and present the results to us with the context of all their outcomes, problems they encountered, and next steps they recommend.

· Submit any configurations or source code used to automate the tests

Deliverables

· Written test plan and outcomes report

· Presentation as stated above of the report

You will connect directly with the Management team for mentorship throughout the project. Daily and weekly touchpoints will be scheduled with the Project manager to provide answers to questions such as:

· Current product understanding and user journeys

· Industry standard testing approaches and software tools

· Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter

· Discussion on skills or technologies that are available to help complete the project.

· Testing concepts such as blackbox, integrations, and end-to-end testing
