The main goal for the project is to develop an operating budget with functional spreadsheets for the Parents of Black Children organization, assessing all organizational agreements, partnerships, grants, and service contracts to ensure a comprehensive financial overview for the upcoming operational year.


This will involve several different steps for the students, including:


- Analyzing all organizational agreements, partnerships, grants, and service contracts.


- Developing functional spreadsheets for the operating budget.


- Assessing the financial impact of all agreements, partnerships, grants, and service contracts.


- Ensuring a comprehensive financial overview for the upcoming operational year.


Deliverables

By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities:


- Functional spreadsheets for the operating budget.


- Financial impact assessment of all agreements, partnerships, grants, and service contracts.


- Comprehensive financial overview for the upcoming operational year.



Final deliverables:


- A final report including the developed operating budget and financial overview.


- A presentation explaining all research and findings from the report.


Mentorship
  1. Dedicated Staff Time: We will allocate specific hours each week where our financial team and project managers will be available to offer guidance, answer questions, and provide feedback to learners. This will ensure they have direct access to experienced professionals who can support them in understanding the nuances of nonprofit financial planning and budgeting.
