Our main goal is to build engagement for our brand on TikTok, driving creators to signup for the platform, and users to download it to go adventuring. You will not only be developing a strategy, you'll be actually creating content.

ABOUT STORY CITY

Story City, like Pokemon Go or Geocaching, but with stories, is the world’s first marketplace and GPS App for location-based stories, with each real-life choose your adventure, puzzle trail, or historical tale through city streets only accessible if you’re standing in the right location. Each story is created by local writers, artists, filmmakers, performers or tour guides who know their cities best. At Story City, we are of the firm belief that it is local stories and storytellers that are the change makers in our society. We want to redefine stories so they're something you're a part of, rather than something you're told, and to make cities places you interact with and explore, rather than just walk through.

Deliverables

The primary focus for the student will be:

  • Strategic Social Media Marketing - Conduct a competitive analysis of TikTok creators/company accounts similar to Story City and the content that drives engagement for them; develop and implement strategies for improving our TikTok presence, develop a list of potential content ideas for the channel.
  • Content Creation & Evaluation - development 20-30 TikToks to drive engagement for the platform inline with vibe of the brand; evaluate the performance of each to determine strategy going forward.

Our goal at the end of this experience is:

  • Strategic Social Media Marketing - For the student(s) to help us improve our online TikTok presence, reach and excite more customers, and effectively promote our brand through compelling, consistently branded content.
  • Content Creation & Evaluation - For the student(s) to help us effectively communicate our brand's story, product and mission to a broad audience and create future communication strategy for the platform.

Mentorship
  • Weekly editorial sessions with our CEO and producer Emily
  • Access to a brand new TikTok channel to make your own
  • High Quality feedback on content creation

We communicate with our remote intern using these communication tools: Discord, Slack, email.
