creative arts character designs illustration landscaping**PLEASE READ** Project Eligibility & Requirements: To be eligible for this project Students must have previous experience in creating illustrations over various mediums, featuring (cartoons and other imagery) using various mediums involving PNG images, illustrations and other illustration and creation software. Students must be able to create illustrations and designs using landscape and character design concepts using various software mediums and have creative arts, illustrative and designing skills.
PROJECT SCHEDULE: Students are required to attend One 40 min mandatory weekly meeting. Meeting hours are between 3:30pm-6:30pm EST/1:30pm-4:30pm MT/12:30pm-3:30pm PDT. Students must be able to commit at least 10 hours per week for project work.
PROJECT MAIN GOAL:
To create a variety of illustrations featuring landscapes and scatters l characters for our children's books, including creating book covers.
PROJECT SCOPE:
We are looking for dedicated Illustrators and Animators to create illustrations for our children's books. We are looking for concept ideas as well as book cover design creations for a variety of our soon to be published children's books. You will be assisting our organization in developing a variety of different designs and concepts for different book series as well.
The following tasks during the project will be:
•Illustrating book covers based on landscapes & character design concepts, which may also include cartoon imagery.
•Illustrating various short children's books using landscape and character design concepts.
•Creating draft illustrations based on concept ideas for multiple book series.
•Creating illustrations for other books and other book designs
PROJECT GOALS/DELIVERABLES: Final Deliverables to be determined but can include:
- Each Student will be responsible for creating at least 3-4 book covers.
- Students may also be illustrating full short children's books as well.
MENTORSHIP AND SUPERVISION
Students will be supervised during their internship through Zoom and other online work sharing platforms, specifically during working hours. Students will be guided and mentored by our senior project manager along with our student Project Manager as well. They will have access to our Senior project manager any time needed during business hours by phone/email and after business hours through email.
Students will also be given concepts for designs and illustrations and given various examples and feedback throughout the process.
Students will be throughly guided throughout the project.

Taslaine Industries Inc. is a newly founded publishing company and sister organization to the Building Black Youth Foundation. We were developed to showcase and display literary creations and artistic expressions of our founder and other authors. We specialize in publishing children's books, fiction, non-fiction as well as cultural educational literary resources for the Building Black Youth Foundation.
