Details

The goal of this project is to develop an automated packing process that prepares orders for shipment for Acrylic Robotics. This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

- Designing a packing system that can accommodate the various sizes and shapes of products.

- Creating a software system that can automatically select the appropriate packing materials and generate labels for each order.

- Developing a system that can track orders and provide real-time updates on the status of each order.

- Testing the system to ensure it is working correctly and making any necessary adjustments.

- Optimizing the system to reduce packing time and improve efficiency.

Deliverables

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:

- A working automated packing system that can accommodate a variety of product sizes and shapes.

- A software system that can automatically select the appropriate packing materials and generate labels for each order.

- A system that can track orders and provide real-time updates on the status of each order.

- Testing of the system to ensure it is working correctly and any necessary adjustments.

- Optimization of the system to reduce packing time and improve efficiency.

Final deliverables should include:

- All source code.

- A written report explaining the design process and outcomes.

Mentorship

Our comprehensive training plan for the Automated Packing Student role is meticulously designed to provide a structured and immersive learning experience. During the onboarding phase, they will receive a comprehensive introduction to our company's mission, values, and the pivotal role they will play in optimizing and automating our packing processes. We will equip them with extensive documentation covering packing automation technologies, logistics workflows, and technical resources essential for understanding our automated packing systems. To foster their development, they will have the privilege of working closely with our experienced team members who will serve as mentors, offering guidance, insights, and practical expertise in automated packing, process optimization, and logistics management. Additionally, we recognize the value of external perspectives, and the student will have the unique opportunity to connect with external professional mentors specializing in automation and logistics. These mentors will provide additional insights and help broaden their knowledge, ensuring a well-rounded skillset in automated packing, efficiency enhancement, and industry best practices.
