communication cyber security mobile application development user interface (ui) designWalkeazy aims to enhance personal safety by connecting users with monitors who can watch over them in real-time. The project focuses on developing a feature within the Walkeazy mobile app that allows users to share their live location with designated monitors. The goal is to ensure that users feel safer when walking alone, especially during late hours or in unfamiliar areas. The project will involve integrating a secure, user-friendly interface for location sharing, real-time communication between users and monitors, and emergency alert functionalities. This will provide an opportunity for learners to apply their knowledge in mobile app development, user interface design, and cybersecurity to create a practical, real-world solution.
Key objectives:
- Develop a secure location-sharing feature.
- Implement real-time communication between users and monitors.
- Integrate emergency alert functionalities.
The project deliverables will include:
- A functional prototype of the SafeWalk feature within the Walkeazy app.
- Documentation detailing the design and implementation process.
- A user manual explaining how to use the new feature.
- A presentation demonstrating the feature and its benefits.
These deliverables will ensure that the project is comprehensive and provides a clear, practical solution to enhance user safety.
Students are provided by RRC through their ACE Project Space to help create the mobile application and bring the product to market.
