public speaking emotional intelligence inclusionEmerging Leaders is a new workshop series that focuses on leadership themes, topics and frameworks. Open to all MacEwan University students, the workshops aim to enhance understanding and application of leadership skills. The sessions focus on developing a deeper understanding of self through critical dialogue, awareness activities and ongoing reflection.
This is a partnership between MacEwan University and the Level UP program (powered by Riipen), which allows employers to bring on Canadian post-secondary students for 80-hour paid projects. Students are paid a $1400 CAD stipend on completion of the project by Riipen. Employers are not required to provide payment. Read more about the program here.
Once a project has been approved for this posting, students will apply to the project directly - individually, or in teams. Get specific in your project description about the skills you're looking for in order to attract the most suitable applicants.
While deliverables will vary depending on the project scope, at the conclusion of the project you should have a completed report or other assets that you can use to further your business goals. Maintaining communication with students throughout the project will lead to better results.
Project Examples
Projects should be approximately 80 hours in length, though our coordinators can work with you to resize the project as needed.
Most projects will be suitable if they can be completed remotely, will provide an opportunity for students to build skills, and can be completed in approximately 80 hours.
