Gain insights from a group of Newcomers to Canada with a wide variety of background experiences. Beginning in January 2021, groups of student-consultants can translate your tourism and hospitality materials into Mandarin, Arabic, Thai and Vietnamese Students can provide cultural background and awareness for your organization.

Project Examples

Beginning in January 2021, a class of student-consultants will work in groups of one to six to review and recommend areas of improvement in your organization's messaging and communications mix.

Based on the information that you provide, student-consultant groups will develop unique and relevant insights and recommendations to assist your organization in dealing with different cultural groups.

Project scope includes, but is not limited to:

  • pitching ideas
  • translation of materials
  • diverse cultural awareness
  • students can make power point presentations describing various countries of their origin or familiarity
  • enthusiastic English language learners would benefit from opportunities for speaking practice

Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

Be available for an online or in-person meeting once through for student questions.

Provide a dedicated contact who will be available to answer periodic emails or phone calls over the duration of the project to address students questions or provide additional information.

Minimum of 2-4 interactions with the students in-person or remotely (approximately 4-6 hours over the duration of the project). Student will work independently on this project with minimal guidance.
